List of Alberta Spray Parks

Cool off this summer by visiting one of Alberta’s many spray parks.

Hours of operation are weather permitting. Most of the spray parks on this list are free to use, some parks may charge a fee. Have we missed one? Let us know by commenting at the bottom of the page.

Operating hours and dates listed are subject to change. Please view the park website for the latest information.

Spray parks  hours of operation are from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily and typically are open mid-June to September long weekend, unless otherwise specified.  To find out more infomation contact the City of Calgary, or call 311.

  • Bowness Park, 8900 48 Ave. N.W. Calgary
    Currently closed for flood recovery and redevelopment
  • Canmore Park 2836 Canmore Rd. N.W. Calgary
  • Eau Claire Plaza,  3 St. & Riverfront Ave. S.W.
  • Prairie Winds Park – 223 Castleridge Blvd. N.E.
  • Rotary Park – 617 1 St. N.E. (Opening July 2 – currently under construction)
  • Somerset Spray Park – 999 Somerset Dr. S.W
    Open weekends from May long weekend throughout June. Daily in July/August.
  • South Glenmore Park – 90 Ave. & 24 St. S.W
  • Valleyview Park – 28 St. & 30 Ave. S.E.

    Daily from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. (first week of June to the September long weekend)

Redcliff

  • Lions Park,  3rd Avenue between 6th & 7th St. SE
    Operating on days with a temp of 20° +

Red Deer

  • Centennial Plaza Park,  Alexander Way (48 Street) and 52 Avenue
    Open from May long weekend – September long weekend
  • Kin Kanyon Park,  32 Street on 47 Avenue

  • Blue Grass Sod Farm Central Spray and Playlocated at the northwest corner of Rotary Recreation Park (47A Avenue and 48 Street)

  • Rotary Park, located at the end of 51 Street (north of the Whitecourt Fire Hall) in downtown Whitecourt.
    May long weekend – Labour Day long weekend: Daily 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. (weather permitting)
    After Labour Day long weekend to September 30: Weekends only from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (weather permitting)

Woodlands County Spray Parks

    Red Deer has another spray park now too

    Also Fort Macleod has one that is constructed and set to open this year (couldn’t find any online resources for this one, but have relatives there).
